Cookie Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
Planet FM sets no cookies: not on this website, not in the web app and not in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps. There are no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels, so there is no cookie banner. This page lists what the website and the web app do keep in your browser, because that is what cookie rules are really about.
The short version
- We set no cookies and read none.
- A few settings are kept in your browser's local storage so the app remembers how you left it. They stay on your device; the only value that is ever sent is the random statistics identifier described in the Privacy Policy.
- A service worker keeps a copy of the app in the browser's cache so that it opens without a network.
- Nothing is used for advertising and nothing follows you to other websites.
- The feedback forms set no cookies either.
What is stored in your browser
| Name | What it is for | Kept |
|---|---|---|
radio.settings, radio.volume, radio.onboarded,
radio.pomodoro | Your settings, the volume, whether you have seen the introduction and your Pomodoro lengths. | Until you clear site data |
radio.favorites, radio.lastPlayed, radio.searches |
Your favourite stations, the last station you played and your recent searches. | Until you clear site data |
radio.catalogue, radio.blocklist, radio.quarantine |
A saved copy of the station catalogue so the app opens at once, the list of stations our service has hidden for everyone, and the stations your browser has heard go silent. | Until replaced or you clear site data |
radio.traffic | The data-usage counter shown in the app. | Until you clear site data |
radio.pulse | The random identifier used to count how many different installations were active on a day. It is sent only while statistics are on. | Until you clear site data |
radio.landing.lang | The language you picked on the website's home page. | Until you clear site data |
| Cache storage (service worker) | The app's pages, code, fonts, map shapes and station logos, so the app opens offline. | Until a new version replaces it or you clear site data |
Other parties
Audio, and video where a station offers it, loads directly from the broadcaster's own server; if our service cannot be reached, the station directory loads from radio-browser.info. These are separate parties: their servers could set cookies when your browser asks them for something, and we neither see nor control that. The website and the web app contain no advertising networks, social buttons, analytics scripts or tracking pixels.
The iPhone, iPad and Android apps
The apps set and read no cookies. They keep their settings in the app's private storage, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Clear this site's data in your browser's settings to remove everything listed above. The app then starts fresh, like a first launch.
- Switch off statistics in the web app's Settings ("Help with statistics"); nothing is counted or sent after that.
- Block cookies in your browser if you like. The app does not need them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
