For Broadcasters and Rights Holders
Last updated 6 October 2026
Planet FM is a player, not a broadcaster. It helps listeners find stations that broadcast openly on the internet and connects them straight to the station's own stream. If you own a station or hold rights in what it broadcasts and do not want it in Planet FM, or want its listing corrected, tell us and we will act on it.
How Planet FM treats your station
- Open sources. The catalogue is built from openly available sources, chiefly the community directory radio-browser.info, where broadcasters and listeners list stations that broadcast publicly on the internet. We list only streams their broadcasters publish openly.
- The original stream, untouched. When you press play, your device connects directly to the broadcaster's own server and plays the stream exactly as the broadcaster sends it, in the quality the broadcaster provides. We do not re-encode, edit, cut, record, store, rebroadcast or relay the audio; it never passes through our servers, and nothing is kept beyond the short buffer any player holds in memory while it plays.
- Nothing added. We insert no advertising, jingles, announcements or any other sound into a stream, and the app shows no advertising of its own. The volume, the sleep timer and the optional Pomodoro cue act only on the listener's own device and never change the stream.
- Names as published. Station names and the song titles a station sends with its stream are shown as published, without changes. Countries and genres come from the directory and may be grouped or translated for the interface. Logos are used only to identify a station and are only scaled down to fit the screen.
- Listeners stay with the station. Every listener connects to the station's own server, so they count in the station's own listener statistics and hear the station's own advertising, as with any other player.
- No affiliation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any station listed. Station names and logos are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify their stations.
- Removal on request. A broadcaster or rights holder who does not want a station in the app can have it removed or corrected: see For rights holders.
Asking for removal or a correction
Send the form below, or write to radionull@nullnextwell.top.invalid, with:
- the station's name and its stream address or website;
- what you would like: removal, or a corrected name, logo or stream address;
- your name and your connection to the station;
- how we can confirm that you represent the station or the rights holder (see below).
Confirming that you represent the station
So that nobody can remove someone else's station, we ask for one of these:
- Email from the station's domain. Write from an address on the domain of the station's
official website (for example
name@your-station.fm). This is usually enough on its own. - A code on your website or stream. We send you a short code; place it for a day on the station's official website or social media page, or in the station name or description your stream sends.
- Documents. A broadcasting licence, a trademark or domain registration in the station's name, or, for a representative, a letter of authorisation from the owner.
We may ask for more if a request is unclear, and we never publish what you send.
What happens next
- We reply by email to every request, usually within a few working days.
- Once confirmed, a removed station is hidden for everyone in every version of the app (web, iPhone and iPad, Android) the next time each app loads the catalogue, and it stays hidden even if a directory still lists it. Future built-in station lists leave it out.
- A correction appears the same way.
- If your station was hidden by mistake, use the same form to ask for it back.
We cannot remove a station from other services. The station may also be listed in the public directory at radio-browser.info, where you can ask for it to be changed or removed.
Complaints about what a station broadcasts, such as a particular song or programme, belong with that station: we do not control its programme.
