Common questions

A station doesn't play

Stations go offline or change their address from time to time. The app notices silent stations and hides them for everyone, so try another one. If a station you love is missing, it may be back after the next nightly check.

How do I add a station to the catalogue?

The catalogue is built from the community directory at radio-browser.info. Stations added there appear in Planet FM after they pass our checks.

How do favourites work?

Tap the heart in the player. The heart at the top of the main screen shows only your favourites. You can also like or unlike a station right from the widget.

How does song recognition work?

Tap the recognition button in the player: the app listens to the station itself, not your microphone. Found songs are saved to your history, where you can copy a title or open it in Apple Music or Shazam.

How do I use the speedometer?

Turn it on in Settings and allow location access. While you move, your speed appears in the player. Press and hold the numbers to mirror them for a reflection on your windshield.

How do I save battery?

Turn on energy saving in Settings: visual effects, video and the speedometer switch off.

I run a station and want it corrected or removed

Send a request through the form on For rights holders. The page explains how to confirm that you represent the station and what happens next.

Does the app change the streams?

No. Your device connects straight to the broadcaster and plays the original stream, with nothing added and nothing cut. The details are in the Terms of Use.

How do I delete my data?

Clear the app's storage or uninstall it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
